Securitization Finance Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm in Chicago is seeking a Securitization Finance Associate Attorney with 4+ years of structured finance and securitization experience. The successful candidate will have a focus on trade receivables securitizations but can expect to engage in structured financings involving various financial assets. The role requires expertise in lender-side private warehouse and trade receivables financings, with capital markets experience considered a plus.

Duties:

• Represent clients in trade receivables securitizations and other structured finance transactions.
• Structure, draft, review, and negotiate complex transaction documents related to securitizations and structured finance.
• Conduct comprehensive due diligence, including analysis of trade receivables and other underlying financial assets.
• Develop and implement strategies for effective securitization and structured finance transactions.
• Collaborate with clients, financial institutions, and other parties to facilitate successful transaction outcomes.
• Stay informed about market trends, regulatory changes, and industry best practices related to securitization and structured finance.
• Provide legal advice on structuring and executing complex securitization and finance transactions.
• Manage and mentor junior attorneys and support staff as needed.
• Assist in the development of innovative solutions for securitization and structured finance matters.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in structured finance and securitization, with a focus on lender-side private warehouse and trade receivables financings.
• Experience in capital markets is a plus.
• Strong academic credentials from a reputable law school.
• Proven ability to handle complex legal matters and transactions in securitization finance.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Strong client management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• High level of professionalism and commitment to client service.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admitted to practice law in the state of Illinois (or ability to promptly obtain admission if not currently licensed).

Skills:

• Expertise in trade receivables securitizations and structured finance transactions.
• In-depth knowledge of lender-side private warehouse and trade receivables financings.
• Strong understanding of capital markets (preferred).
