Duties:

  • Prepare litigation strategies and legal memoranda for complex commercial matters

  • Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs with minimal oversight

  • Represent clients during hearings, trials, mediations, and arbitrations

  • Conduct in-depth legal research and analyze case law to guide litigation strategy

  • Utilize electronic discovery tools effectively

  • Engage in client negotiations and draft settlement agreements

  • Supervise support staff and review document preparation for accuracy

  • Maintain accurate, organized, and updated case files

  • Provide timely legal advice and communicate case strategy to clients

  • Explain legal concepts and processes clearly to non-legal audiences

  • Collaborate across practice groups to resolve multifaceted legal issues

  • Ensure adherence to case budgets and meet internal milestones and goals

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial litigation

  • Direct experience with construction law preferred

  • Proven ability to manage high-volume caseloads

  • Familiarity with business disputes, civil litigation, real estate litigation, and appeals

  • Skilled in drafting, negotiation, and client communications

  • Previous exposure to high-stakes or complex commercial matters

  • Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting with minimal supervision

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

  • Active license to practice law in Florida

Certifications:

  • Member in good standing with The Florida Bar

Skills:

  • Strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills

  • Excellent research and analytical abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Knowledge of litigation tools such as Filevine and Lead Docket (preferred)

  • Strong attention to detail with exceptional proofreading ability

  • Bilingual (Spanish) proficiency is a plus

  • Empathy, discretion, and professionalism in client interactions

  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet tight deadlines under pressure
