Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level Real Estate Associate to join its practice in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of experience advising clients on real estate matters and will work closely with partners and clients on a variety of transactions and projects.

Duties

• Represent clients in acquisition, disposition, development, and financing of real property.
• Draft and negotiate loan documents, purchase and sale agreements, and commercial leases.
• Coordinate and close real estate transactions, including due diligence and zoning analysis.
• Advise on construction, development, and joint venture arrangements.
• Mentor junior associates and oversee work streams.

Requirements

• Minimum of four years of sophisticated real estate practice experience.
• Experience in acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and development matters.
• Prior law firm experience is required.
• Admission to, and good standing with, the State Bar of Illinois.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Illinois.
