Senior Litigation Associate

Profile

A leading law firm is seeking a Senior Associate with 4-7 years of litigation experience to join its dynamic legal team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a legal professional with a proven track record in civil litigation, particularly in professional liability, securities litigation, labor & employment, and insurance broker liability. The candidate must hold bar admission in both New York and New Jersey and be skilled in managing cases independently toward resolution or trial.

Duties:

• Draft legal documents, including pleadings and motions.
• Handle all aspects of discovery, such as drafting demands, analyzing responses, and reviewing document productions.
• Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on various legal projects and assignments.
• Represent clients at court appearances, hearings, and depositions.
• Provide regular case status reports to clients and insurance carriers.
• Manage and prioritize workload to meet deadlines effectively.

Requirements:

• 4-7 years of civil litigation experience, with a focus on professional liability and securities litigation.
• Must be admitted to practice law in both New York and New Jersey.
• Court appearance and deposition experience are required.
• Demonstrated ability to draft summary judgment motions and other dispositive motions.
• Strong understanding of federal and state civil procedure rules.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Bar admission in both New York and New Jersey (required).

Skills:

• Excellent legal research and writing abilities.
• Ability to manage cases independently and advance them toward resolution or trial.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
