Responsibilities

• Provide pre bankruptcy consultations and post hearing reviews.
• Represent clients in bankruptcy court.
• Prepare and file Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 petitions, appearing before bankruptcy trustees and judges to confirm plans.
• Research and draft motions in accordance with U.S. bankruptcy code and case law, including defending against trustee and creditor motions.
• Explore opportunities to work in additional practice areas, such as Wills and Estates, Real Estate, and Contracts.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in New Jersey.
• Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy experience preferred. (Chapter 11 experience a plus).
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize effectively.
• Tech-savvy and collaborative mindset.
• Positive can-do attitude.
• Compassionate and empathetic to clients in distress.
• Spanish language skills a plus.
