A law firm seeks a motivated Civil Litigation Associate in West Los Angeles, CA. The successful candidate will manage a caseload focused on real estate and eviction litigation, including unlawful detainer proceedings.

Duties

• Draft and argue motions, oppositions, and replies.
• Draft complaints, answers, and petitions.
• Manage all aspects of discovery, including interrogatories and depositions.
• Make court appearances for hearings and trial assignments.
• Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings and briefs.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on strategy and client communications.
• Assist with trial preparation and courtroom advocacy.

Requirements

• Commitment to client advocacy.
• Active membership with the California State Bar.
• At least 2 years of experience in California civil litigation.
• Strong knowledge of motion practice and discovery processes.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• California State Bar membership.

Skills

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
