Associate Attorney - Family Law

Profile

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its team in Tyler, TX. The ideal candidate will have strong legal representation and litigation experience, with a preference for a background in family law. This role requires someone who thrives in a high-pressure environment, manages a heavy caseload, and is capable of prioritizing and handling multiple tasks simultaneously. The attorney will be involved in preparing legal documents, offering counsel, and supporting clients through various legal challenges.

Duties

• Manage a caseload with a focus on family law, providing legal representation and litigation support.
• Draft legal documents including pleadings, briefs, and other essential filings.
• Provide legal counsel and advice to clients regarding family law matters.
• Interpret laws and regulations as they relate to casework.
• Assist in preparing for hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
• Balance multiple tasks and priorities within a fast-paced legal environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience in legal representation, with a preference for family law experience.
• Ability to manage a heavy workload and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to think critically, make decisions quickly, and strategize effectively.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to advocate for clients effectively.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar license in Texas, or the ability to sit for the Texas Bar Exam in the upcoming July session.
