A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its team in Tyler, TX. Duties

  • Draft legal documents including pleadings, briefs, and other essential filings.
  • Provide legal counsel and advice to clients regarding family law matters.
  • Interpret laws and regulations as they relate to casework.
  • Assist in preparing for hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
  • Balance multiple tasks and priorities within a fast-paced legal environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in legal representation, with a preference for family law experience.
  • Ability to manage a heavy workload and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to think critically, make decisions quickly, and strategize effectively.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to advocate for clients effectively.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Bar license in Texas, or the ability to sit for the Texas Bar Exam in the upcoming July session.

  • Skilled in drafting legal documents and offering sound legal counsel.
