The candidate will involves a wide range of challenging and complex issues, including real estate development, real estate acquisitions and dispositions, commercial leasing and real estate lending. In this practice, the selected applicant will be working with experienced real estate attorneys in representing commercial lenders, private developers, companies which have real estate needs ancillary to their primary businesses, and large land owners. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in the areas of commercial real estate transactions (ideally representing lenders, as well as borrowers), real estate purchase and sale transactions, real estate development, land use and zoning, leasing and mortgage lending. Demonstrated understanding of real property law and commercial real estate finance. Demonstrated capacity for independently managing and complex real estate transactions. Excellent academic credentials, oral and writing skills and references. Must have an active South Carolina bar license or be eligible and willing to take the South Carolina bar.
