A law firm is seeking a dynamic and experienced Associate Attorney to join its team in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have substantial litigation experience, including high-level research, writing, trial, and significant deposition experience. This role requires a candidate who is eager to manage their own cases and collaborate within a broader team to achieve successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Conduct high-level legal research and writing.
• Participate in trials and manage significant deposition activities.
• Develop and manage individual case strategies while contributing to team efforts.
• Prepare and file legal documents, including motions, briefs, and discovery materials.
• Represent clients in court, mediations, and arbitration.
• Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with legal procedures.
• Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and strategic advice.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure comprehensive case management and client satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Meaningful litigation experience is essential.
• High-level research and writing experience.
• Trial and/or significant deposition experience.
• Ability to manage cases independently and work collaboratively within a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Active State Bar membership in good standing.

• Demonstrated trial and significant deposition experience.
• Prior experience in managing cases from inception to resolution.
• Experience in a law firm setting is preferred.
