Job Overview:
A leading law firm is seeking an Intellectual Property Litigation Associate to join its growing practice. The position focuses on patent litigation and offers the opportunity to represent a national and international client base. Successful candidates will have 1 to 3 years of intellectual property litigation experience. Those with a background in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science are strongly encouraged to apply. Experience as a federal judicial law clerk is also preferred. The position is hybrid, with the expectation of 2-3 days in the office.

Location:

• Indianapolis, Indiana

Duties:

• Focus on patent litigation for a wide-ranging national and international client base.

• Handle various intellectual property disputes with a concentration on patent law.

• Draft legal documents, including motions, briefs, and discovery requests.

• Conduct legal research to support litigation strategies.

• Represent clients in hearings, trials, and court proceedings.

• Collaborate with colleagues and clients in a team-oriented, client-focused environment.

• Maintain a hybrid work schedule (2-3 days in the office).

Requirements:

• 1 to 3 years of intellectual property litigation experience, with a focus on patent law.

• Ability to manage multiple litigation matters simultaneously.

• Strong written and oral communication skills.

• Motivated to succeed in a collaborative, client-focused environment.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

• Excellent academic credentials.

Certifications:

• Admission to the relevant state bar.

Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of patent litigation.

• A background in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science is highly encouraged.

• Strong legal research, writing, and analysis skills.
