Job Overview:
An elite U.S.-based law firm is currently seeking an Associate Attorney with 2 to 6 years of experience to join its Banking & Finance practice group. This position focuses on advising lenders and borrowers in a wide array of complex financing transactions including private credit, syndicated credit facilities, and growth capital financings. The ideal candidate will bring strong client service skills, a collaborative mindset, and technical legal expertise to a dynamic, cross-border practice.

Location:

• Menlo Park, CA

Duties:

• Advise clients on domestic and international financing transactions

• Represent both borrowers and lenders in private credit, syndicated loan, and growth capital deals

• Draft and negotiate credit agreements and other financing documentation

• Collaborate with legal teams across various practice areas and jurisdictions

• Provide strategic, business-savvy legal counsel

• Contribute to the firm’s commitment to legal excellence and client satisfaction

Requirements:

• 2 to 6 years of relevant experience in a law firm Banking & Finance practice

• Strong transactional skills and ability to handle complex deal work

• Commitment to high-quality client service and teamwork

• Must be a member of the Bar in at least one U.S. state

• Must meet any practice requirements of the jurisdiction of the firm office

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

• Licensed and in good standing with a U.S. State Bar

• California candidates must either be admitted or eligible to practice upon successful completion of the California Bar Examination

Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of commercial lending and finance transactions

• Strong drafting, negotiating, and analytical skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects under time-sensitive deadlines
