Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Associate for the Restrictive Covenant Practice Group in Chatham, New Jersey. This full-time, hybrid position requires a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual with a minimum of two years of substantive employment litigation experience. The role involves working in the office at least two days per week, with flexibility for additional in-person days as needed.

Duties

• Draft all required pleadings.
• Assist with all phases of discovery, including document production and depositions.
• Develop and manage E-discovery protocols.
• Conduct legal and factual research.
• Prepare and respond to motions.
• Attend court and settlement conferences.
• Prepare for and attend hearings, trials, and arbitrations.
• Manage cases proactively, maintaining communication with the team and clients.

Requirements

• Admitted to the NJ Bar; NY, PA, and/or CT bar admission is a plus.
• Strong working knowledge of ESI.
• Exceptional legal writing and communication skills.
• Excellent research skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple clients and matters efficiently.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admission to the NJ Bar.
