DEI Manager
The candidate will implement, manage, administrate, and communicate of diversity, equity and inclusion efforts in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the Firm. Oversee diversity, equity and inclusion efforts for the Firm’s attorney and business services populations. Provide leadership and direction for these important functions by proactively interacting and communicating with appropriate individuals within Firm leadership to articulate needs and/or obtain buy-in for appropriate plans and solutions. Research, develop, recommend, and help execute creative strategies to foster the Firm’s DEI strategy. Review current practices and policies, assess and analyze the extent to which they support or hinder the Firm’s DEI strategy. Work with legal talent and HR recruiting teams to develop and implement recruiting and hiring strategies to attract attorneys and staff from diverse backgrounds. Cultivate and foster relationships with employees and partners through ongoing meetings and discussions. Research, develop, recommend and help facilitate DEI training and curricula for employees and partners. Manage the Firm’s Resource Groups, including scheduling, logistical support and researching and developing content and programming. Provide support to the DEI Committee, including setting agendas, developing content and scheduling. Work with the CDEIO and legal talent and HR teams to plan and execute the Firm’s pipeline programs, including the TEAK and SEO programs. Develop and maintain firmwide heritage months schedule, programming and resource content, including analyzing the impact and success of programs and resources. Monitor daily news sources, studies, and other external publications for DEI-related news and developments and communicate important, timely information to colleagues. Work with the legal talent and HR teams to develop and implement mentoring and sponsorship programs, activities and trainings. Compile and analyze data for DEI industry and client surveys and client requests, including RFPs and pitches. Contribute to and assist with internal and external DEI communications. Update and maintain DEI-related sections of the Firm’s intranet and website, including upcoming programming, resources and recent event summaries. Supervise provided support resources to include administrative assistance. Perform various special projects at the request of the Chiefs, Management Committee, Managing Partner, Co-Chair, and DEI Committee Chairs. Bachelor’s degree is required, J.D. is preferred. Should have 5+ years of direct and/or relevant DEI experience.
