Profile

A law firm in San Francisco is seeking a Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney with 4-6 years of meaningful experience in civil litigation to work in the Litigation Department. The successful candidate will work on a variety of substantive litigation matters, including complex litigation, corporate and partnership disputes, contract disputes, and intellectual property disputes. Demonstrably superior legal writing skills are essential.

 

Duties:

  • Handle a variety of substantive litigation matters, including complex litigation, corporate and partnership disputes, contract disputes, and intellectual property disputes.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Draft and respond to written discovery requests.
  • Manage document discovery, including review, organization, and production of documents.
  • Conduct legal research on complex legal issues.
  • Prepare for and participate in depositions, motion hearings, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Assist with pre-trial preparation and trial support.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy and management.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams.

 

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of meaningful experience in civil litigation.
  • Demonstrably superior legal writing skills.
  • Experience drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Experience with written discovery and document management.
  • Ability to conduct legal research on complex legal issues.
  • Experience with depositions, motion hearings, arbitrations, and trials (preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the California State Bar.
