PARENT UNIVERSITY MANAGER

Job Description: Parent University Manager

Collaborate with partners to develop a curriculum that empowers multilingual parents in connecting with their childrens’ schools.

Register and communicate with multilingual families to do outreach and connect them with Parent University classes, resources, and support.

Organize and schedule Parent University classes or workshops to support multilingual parent engagement and learning with their childrens’ schools.

Manage, support, and supervise Parent University Assistant Manager, Parent University Multilingual Liaisons, and On Call staff with connecting with parents and administrative duties.

Assist in the development of Parent University sessions focused on ensuring school success for English Learning students.

Create evaluation tools and follow up on the correlation between multilingual family participation and student growth.

Work with Assistant Manager to prepare, maintain and update program materials (events, fliers, handouts, brochures, website, etc).

Identify and suggest new partner organizations based on multilingual parents’ needs.

Intentionally bring multilingual parents into the planning process and think through more ways to make this program parent-led.

Work with Parent University Assistant Manager to help Parent University participants gain access to Early education centers and childcare opportunities for their non school aged children.

Build and ensure safe spaces in order to support multilingual parent engagement, safety, and wellbeing
