Insurance and Bad Faith Litigation Attorney

A law firm in Los Angeles is seeking an Insurance and Bad Faith Litigation Attorney to join their team. The candidate will be responsible for litigating insurance and bad faith actions in California and other jurisdictions, as well as providing a wide range of insurance coverage services to clients. Duties:

• Litigate insurance and bad faith actions in California and other jurisdictions.
• Provide insurance coverage services to clients.
• Handle breach of contract, bad faith, and all facets of insurance litigation from inception to trial.
• Prepare pleadings and briefs, manage discovery and depositions, and conduct legal research, analysis, and writing.
• Provide liability analyses to clients and develop litigation strategies.
• Handle both state and federal court proceedings.
• Manage multiple priorities in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of litigation experience.
• 2+ years of handling coverage matters and litigating bad faith and/or insurance-related actions.
• JD from an ABA-Approved law school with excellent academic credentials.
• Current California Bar admission in good standing.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-Approved law school.
• Current California Bar admission in good standing.

Skills:

• Extensive experience in all facets of litigation, including motion practice, discovery, alternative dispute resolution, and trial preparation.
• Strong legal research, analysis, and writing skills.
• Ability to provide liability analyses and develop litigation strategies.
• Experience with both state and federal court proceedings.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a timely and professional manner.
