Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Mass Tort and Product Liability practice in Chicago, IL. This position offers a hybrid schedule and the opportunity to work on complex litigation nationwide.

Duties

• Draft motions, pleadings, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Participate in all stages of trial preparation, including discovery and courtroom advocacy.
• Assist in developing case strategy and counseling clients.
• Handle court appearances and argue motions as needed.
• Collaborate closely with partners and senior associates on complex litigation matters.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• 3-6 years of experience in mass torts and/or product liability litigation.
• Experience in other defense litigation practice areas within the 3-7-year range may be considered.
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
• Experience drafting motions, taking and defending depositions, and managing discovery.
• Trial experience or a strong interest in trial work is a plus.
• Admitted to practice in Illinois.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice in Illinois.
