Job Overview:

• Provide legal advice and strategic counsel on complex U.S. federal tax matters.
• Collaborate with clients to address cross-border tax issues related to high-net-worth individuals and business entities.
• Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring the firm's practices remain compliant and up-to-date.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research and analysis to support clients in federal tax planning and compliance matters.
• Represent clients in federal tax controversies, negotiations, and litigation when necessary.
• Draft and review legal documents, including tax opinions, memoranda, and correspondence.
• Provide guidance on tax implications of business transactions, mergers, and acquisitions.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the state bar association and eligibility for admission to the Florida Bar.
• 5-15 years of experience practicing law with a focus on U.S. federal tax matters.
• Proven track record in dealing with cross-border tax issues for high-net-worth individuals and business entities.

Certifications:

• Certification as a Tax Law Specialist is highly desirable.
• Any relevant certifications demonstrating expertise in federal tax law.
