A law firm in Fremont is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Attorney to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling cases before the Immigration Court, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and the Federal Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. The position requires a J.D. degree, an active State Bar membership, and 2-3 years of immigration experience.

Duties:

• Represent clients in immigration court proceedings, including hearings and appeals.
• Prepare and file legal documents, such as briefs, motions, and petitions.
• Conduct legal research to support cases and stay abreast of immigration laws and regulations.
• Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on immigration matters.
• Collaborate with legal and administrative staff to ensure timely and effective case management.
• Attend court hearings, meetings, and client consultations.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of relevant immigration law experience.
• Strong knowledge of immigration laws, regulations, and procedures.

Education and Certification:

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the State Bar.
