Responsibilities: Use of enforcement tools and manual internet searches to detect unauthorized uses of Pearson works online. Respond to routine suspected infringement leads from the business, marketing, authors, sales and the general public (including those submitted via the Pearson Report Piracy mailbox). Draft and submit notices of infringement as well as use platform forms to report intellectual property violations. Keep and maintain accurate records related to investigations and notices sent. Secure test purchases of suspected piratical materials for evidentiary purposes. Prepare copyright schedules. Use both LexisNexis and search engines to conduct background research on individuals and business entities. Purchasing suspected piratical materials for evidentiary purposes. Conducting background investigations using both the internet and commercial databases to research people and business entities. Electronic file management: creates, organizes and updates case files. Filing, data entry, scanning and faxing.
