A law firm based in Seattle, WA, is seeking a seasoned Family Law Attorney with at least 3 years of experience to join its collaborative legal team. This position offers a well-supported environment with robust client referrals and marketing initiatives to help expand the attorney’s caseload and community presence. The ideal candidate will be self-driven, comfortable with mediation and litigation, and motivated to contribute to a growing practice while maintaining a healthy work-life integration.
Handle a wide range of family law cases, including mediation and litigation matters
Conduct comprehensive legal research and prepare memoranda, briefs, and correspondence
Oversee discovery, including management of digital and physical evidence for litigation preparation
Advise and communicate regularly with clients to ensure quality service
Review and perform due diligence for legal documents and family law agreements
Participate in business development by attending networking events and promoting the firm's services
Manage case consultations and aim to convert leads into active clients in alignment with performance targets
Share workload with team members when capacity exceeds availability to ensure prompt service delivery
Maintain accurate records, including client data, invoices, and billing through internal systems
Leverage administrative support effectively for task execution and time management
Promote the firm's brand via blog writing, social media, community board involvement, and thought leadership
Seek positive client testimonials and online reviews to enhance reputation
Fulfill billable hour expectations, with an annual goal of 1500 billed hours and 1400 collected hours
Participate in additional responsibilities as delegated by management
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience practicing family law
Proven ability to manage a growing caseload independently
Strong writing and communication capabilities
Demonstrated ability to network and build professional relationships
Commitment to high ethical standards and client service
Experience with mediation strongly preferred
Trial experience is beneficial
Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
Must be admitted to the Bar and in good standing in the state of Washington (or eligible for reciprocal admission)
