Duties:
Handle residential real estate transactions and closings
Advise and represent community associations (HOAs and condominiums) on a range of legal matters
Draft and review contracts, covenants, bylaws, and resolutions
Assist clients with governance, collections, and dispute resolution
Deliver presentations and communicate legal concepts clearly to association boards and homeowners
Work collaboratively with attorneys across the firm while managing responsibilities independently
Support the expansion of the Wilmington office and build client relationships in the region
Requirements:
Active license to practice law in North Carolina (required)
Dual licensure in South Carolina is a plus, but not required
Experience in residential real estate or HOA/condo law preferred
Strong interpersonal and public speaking skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage deadlines
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school
Certifications:
North Carolina State Bar admission (required)
South Carolina Bar admission (preferred)
Skills:
Excellent legal writing and drafting skills
Clear and confident oral communication
Strong organizational and time-management abilities
Ability to engage with diverse clients, including HOA boards and homeowners
Team-oriented mindset with the drive to contribute to office growth
