Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Case Development Intake Attorney in Austin, TX. The role involves managing a docket of approximately 50 cases, investigating and preserving evidence, and developing medical and triage assigned cases. The attorney will handle property damage claims, communicate with clients and adjusters, and prepare monthly status reports.

Duties

• Investigate and develop commercial cases.
• Accept and manage incoming calls from potential new clients.
• Secure authorization to sign up, decline, or further evaluate claims.
• Explain attorney-client contracts and sign up cases.
• Prepare and submit case reviews per firm policy.
• Manage clients during the case development intake process.
• Prepare and document demands, acting as a liaison to settle cases.
• Ensure compliance with ethical and legal obligations.
• Maximize case values and attorney fees recovered.

Requirements

• Strong initiative and leadership skills.
• Detail-oriented with effective communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.
• Approachable with professional communication skills.
• Bilingual (Spanish a plus).

Education

• JD; must be licensed in Texas and in good standing.

Certifications

• Valid TX driver license with a good driving record.

Skills

• Legal research and analysis.
• Customer service and sales experience preferred.
• Experience supervising non-attorneys.
