Duties

• Conduct thorough oil and gas title examinations by researching historical property records and other instruments.
• Draft, review, and deliver title opinions outlining ownership status and production viability.
• Provide strategic legal counseling on transactional structures and regulatory compliance.
• Navigate multi-jurisdictional challenges across various states, staying current with legal trends.
• Collaborate with industry stakeholders to align legal and operational goals.
• Support client relations and business development through excellent service and participation in industry events.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2-5 years of oil and gas title examination or related legal experience.
• Familiarity with oil and gas law in CO, OK, NM, ND, TX, or WY preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in at least one of the core jurisdictions.
