Duties

• Counsel clients on family law issues, including marriage, divorce, and child custody.
• Represent clients in court and other legal proceedings.
• Negotiate agreements between parties.
• Research and compile evidence for cases.
• Interview individuals involved in cases.
• Draft, negotiate, and review court documents.
• Liaise with professionals such as doctors and social workers.
• Manage emotionally unpredictable situations.
• Prepare pleadings and organize materials.
• Attend networking and business development functions.
• Assist the firm with consultations.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the state bar and active license to practice law.
• Proficient in legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw.
• Strong writing and legal drafting skills.
• Experience in family law.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Prior legal administrative experience is beneficial.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the state bar and active license to practice law.
