Senior Fiduciary Officer
Responsibilities: Assume primary compliance program oversight and management responsibilities in order to ensure continuous compliance with applicable federal and state laws and agency regulations. Identify, measure, and escalate compliance risk issues to Advisory Investment Regulatory Committee and senior officers as necessary. Develop, manage, and maintain enterprise-wide operational policies, standards, and procedures designed to achieve compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, including applicable state and federal laws and agency rules, including Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering Act, USA Patriot Act, OFAC, and internal and external audit regulations and guidelines. Maintain internal control standards, including timely implementation and management of internal and external audits, examinations, investigations, or supervisory events. Oversee and direct legal and regulatory affairs regarding interrelated risk issues impacting operational and strategic risks. Maintain current awareness of legislative and regulatory developments and implement changes to existing policies accordingly. Identify, review, and analyze complex and unique legal issues as they arise and provide resolution, in conjunction with senior leadership and AIRC, in order to ensure compliance and identify litigation risk. Provide administration for key and strategic agency, special needs, guardianship, and personal trust accounts, ensuring accounts comply with legal, regulatory, and investment guidelines as well as directives contained in governing documents. Communicate effectively with grantors, beneficiaries, trustees, guardians, and other interested parties (including internal and external wealth management advisors, investment teams, accountants, and independent counsels) with respect to all fiduciary decisions. Review governing documents in support of new business acceptance and identify risk factors, and prepare documents related to transfer of accounts to ITC including all steps of on-boarding process.. Participate in AIRC decision-making process and participate in regular relationship reviews.. Drive an agreed upon client service regimen to ensure regular contact and uncover new opportunities. Support the operational aspects of administering investment, distribution, reporting, and oversight tasks in partnership with back and middle office and compliance.. Serve as strategic liaison to broader attorney and professional community in order to develop relationships with centers of influence and promote the firms’ fiduciary capabilities and wealth management offerings. Seek to generate client referrals through focused outreach and effective communication of the firms’ value proposition. Presence of a sales goal to be considered in light of other responsibilities.. Coordinate and manage all aspects of attorney-focused events, including planning of annual and recurring events targeting the attorney professional community, such as Fall Gathering (in conjunction with the Title Company), annual sponsorship of Continuing Legal Education conferences as participation determined appropriate for participation by senior leadership. Collaborate with marketing department and Director of Wealth Management to coordinate attorney-focused promotional materials such as fiduciary newsletter and other attorney-focused marketing materials.
