Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid to senior-level associate to join its Real Estate Capital Markets practice in Charlotte, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial real estate financing and investment matters, including representing lenders in mortgage loan origination and structured debt, as well as handling distressed commercial real estate loans and transactions.

Duties

• Represent clients in commercial real estate financing and investment matters.
• Originate mortgage loans and structured debt for lenders.
• Manage workouts of distressed commercial real estate loans.
• Handle purchases and sales of commercial property.

Requirements

• 4-8 years of real estate finance experience.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must reside in the Charlotte area at or prior to the time of hire.
• Work in the office at least three business days per week.

Education

• Strong academic credentials required.

Certifications

• Must be licensed or ready to become licensed in the state of North Carolina.

Skills

• Experience with large regional, national, or international law firms preferred.
