Renewable Energy Real Estate Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm in Austin, TX, seeks a dedicated Renewable Energy Real Estate Associate Attorney to join its energy and natural resources strategic business unit. The ideal candidate will collaborate primarily with attorneys in this unit, possessing at least 5 years of experience in wind, solar, and/or battery storage real estate transactions. They should demonstrate proficiency in leading scopes of work within a team and managing and overseeing more junior attorneys. Excellent academic credentials, a strong commitment to the community, and superior interpersonal skills are highly desirable. The candidate must have an active Bar license or be committed to obtaining one promptly.

Duties:

• Collaborate primarily with attorneys in the energy and natural resources strategic business unit.
• Handle wind, solar, and/or battery storage real estate transactions.
• Lead scopes of work within a team and manage and oversee junior attorneys.
• Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and provide legal advice.
• Participate in negotiations and due diligence processes.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of legal experience, preferably in renewable energy real estate.
• Experience with wind, solar, and/or battery storage real estate transactions.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Active TX Bar license or commitment to obtaining one promptly.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Dedication to community engagement and environmental sustainability.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active TX Bar license or commitment to obtaining one promptly.
