The candidate provides legal advice and prepares documents for the firm's business businesses, non-profits, and public agency clients including employment law, business transactions, and contracts (management side, transactional/advisory). Provides legal advice and represents tenants in unlawful detainer cases, including in court, mediation, and settlement negotiations through the firm's contract for public agency eviction defense programming. Conducts legal research, and prepares legal memoranda and case briefs. Conducts community presentations. Prepares motions and client correspondence. Stays informed of changes in landlord-tenant law including COVID-19 related litigation impacting the rights of tenants and landlords. Responds professionally to client emails and phone calls. California state bar license is required.
