Chief Equality And Inclusion Officer
The candidate will develop and implement a diversity, equity, inclusion strategy that aligns with the firm’s objectives. Establish an implementation and communication plan focused on achieving measurable, sustainable results. Serve as a key strategic and business partner to senior leaders regarding employee engagement, diversity, and inclusion-related issues, topics, programs, and trends. Develop and maintain external strategic diversity partnerships to advance employee and community engagement and outreach efforts. Partner with and advise talent acquisition and development teams and partner resources to ensure the attraction and engagement of a talented and diverse workforce. Partner with HR to create training and development programs and initiatives that nurture and retain talent across the company. Review DEI and Engagement metrics; report progress; identify opportunities for new areas of focus. Assist Marketing and Firm Initiatives Director in answering numerous client RFPs and Firm Surveys with various external law firm rankings. Serve as an advocate, mentor, and resource for the firm’s development, concerns, and issues related to diversity, inclusion, equity, and engagement. Effectively manage department budget and fiscal obligations. Performs other duties as assigned. Bachelor's or Master's degree and 15+ years of relevant experience, including 7+ years of leadership experience required. Demonstrated understanding of the opportunities and challenges surrounding diversity, equity, and inclusion required. Experience with diversity content development and facilitation required. Experience facilitating inclusive enterprise-wide strategic planning and communications around diversity, equity, and inclusion required. Experience with research and data analysis required. HR or Diversity and Inclusion Certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, DiversityFirst) preferred. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills required.
