Duties

• Draft patent applications and documents for all stages of the patent prosecution process.
• Coordinate and correspond with inventors and clients regarding invention disclosures.
• Conduct and analyze prior art searches to support patent applications.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of patent laws to assist clients effectively.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a registered Patent Agent, with 5+ years preferred.
• Strong background in biophysics, biomedical engineering, computational biology, bioinformatics, data science, or AI/ML.
• Proficiency in drafting patent applications and managing client portfolios.
• Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.

Education

• Advanced degree in biophysics, biomedical engineering, computational biology, bioinformatics, data science, or AI/ML preferred.

Certifications

• Registered to practice with the USPTO.
• Active member in good standing of the California state bar for attorney candidates.
