Law Clerks and Law Students
Completing a clerkship? Finishing law school? We encourage you to consider applying for a position with Hangley Aronchick. We think we can offer a career path that isn’t available in most cities or with most law firms. Please note that we do not hire summer associates.
If you are a former law clerk, you’ll feel right at home at our firm. A majority of our lawyers clerked on federal district or circuit courts; one clerked on the United States Supreme Court, two clerked for the state Supreme Court, and 13 clerked on a United States Court of Appeals.
Hangley Aronchick lawyers include former Philadelphia City Solicitors; a past Chancellor of the Philadelphia Bar Association; current and former law school professors; fellows of the American College of Trial Lawyers, American College of Bankruptcy Lawyers, and American College of Real Estate Lawyers; members of the American Law Institute and American Bankruptcy Institute; and leaders of inns of court and the American Bar Association Sections of Litigation and Environment, Energy and Resources.
Large firm litigators can spend their entire careers in discovery and motion practice without ever seeing a judge, a jury, or the inside of a courtroom. That’s not the case at Hangley Aronchick; our younger associates serve as co-counsel (and sometimes as lead counsel) in cases that go to trial or evidentiary hearing in both state and federal courts. Our younger lawyers also frequently serve as second chair or co-lead counsel on cases.
