Job Overview

A law firm seeks an attorney to join its Energy & Infrastructure practice in Santa Monica, CA. The ideal candidate will have three to nine years of experience in energy projects, particularly in renewable energy and energy storage offtake work. This role involves working closely with clients in a dynamic environment.

Duties

• Draft and negotiate renewable energy power purchase agreements.
• Handle corporate PPAs and energy storage offtake agreements.
• Manage offtakes for carbon removal credits and nuclear offtakes.
• Negotiate renewable energy credit agreements and hedging agreements.
• Work on resource adequacy sales agreements, ISDAs, and EEI agreements.

Requirements

• 3-9+ years of relevant experience in energy projects.
• Excellent academic credentials and superior communication skills.
• Membership to the State Bar of California is required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

Certifications

• Active membership in the State Bar of California.

• Strong negotiation and drafting skills.
