Job Overview: A law firm in New York City is seeking a Mid-Level Debt Finance Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience handling upmarket bilateral, syndicated, and sponsor-backed deals for banks and private credit funds. They must possess a strong academic background from nationally recognized schools and be admitted to practice in NY.

Duties:

• Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
• Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence efficiently and responsively.
• Provide timely, accurate, and quality work products.
• Successfully meet deadlines and expectations and perform work duties as required.
• Foster positive work relationships.
• Comply with all firm policies and practices.
• Engage in both physical and sedentary activity, such as:
  • Working at a computer for extended periods of time, including on-screen reading and typing.
  • Participating in digital/virtual conference calls.
  • Participating in meetings as needed.
• Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• 5-7 years of relevant experience in debt finance.
• Strong academic background from nationally recognized schools.
• Admission to practice in New York (NY).

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar.

Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in legal research and drafting legal documents.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
