Job Title: Civil Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A respected law firm based in Portland, OR, is seeking a mid-level associate to join its civil litigation practice. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic legal team handling a broad mix of complex disputes across business, real estate, construction, employment, product liability, and other civil matters. The ideal candidate is a proactive and detail-oriented professional with experience in litigation at both the state and federal levels and is eager to take ownership of casework while contributing to a collaborative team culture.

Duties:

• Handle a range of civil litigation matters, including:

  • Commercial, business, and real estate disputes

  • Product liability and construction defect claims

  • Employment litigation

  • Trusts and estates disputes

  • Environmental matters and personal injury, including wrongful death claims

• Draft pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents

• Conduct legal research and develop case strategies

• Argue motions and attend hearings in state and federal courts

• Take and defend depositions

• Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement conferences

• Participate in trials as part of a litigation team

• Collaborate closely with clients and internal team members throughout the litigation process

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of hands-on civil litigation experience

• Licensed to practice law in Oregon

• Washington Bar admission is a plus

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Proven ability to take ownership and responsibility for individual cases

• Commitment to professional development and delivering top-tier client service

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership in the Oregon State Bar

• Additional admission to the Washington State Bar is beneficial but not mandatory

Skills:
