Job Title: Real Estate Closing Attorney

Job Overview:
A law firm located in Charleston, SC, is expanding its real estate legal practice and is seeking a Real Estate Closing Attorney to join a high-performing team. This role involves managing real estate closings for both residential and commercial transactions, maintaining strong client relationships, and providing detailed legal review and guidance throughout the process. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professional communication, proactive client service, and a commitment to growing in a fast-paced legal environment.

Duties:

• Handle end-to-end residential and commercial real estate closings, including purchases, sales, and refinancing

• Examine and assess property title documents

• Collaborate with lending institutions, real estate agents, brokers, buyers, and sellers to ensure seamless transactions

• Draft and review legal documentation such as deeds, leases, contracts, and purchase/sale agreements

• Address client inquiries and provide clear, concise legal explanations during the closing process

• Finalize disbursement ledgers and execute necessary checks

• Contribute to the growth of the firm’s client base through relationship-building and outreach

• Facilitate educational sessions and workshops on real estate law for potential clients and partners

Requirements:

• Prior experience with residential real estate transactions strongly preferred (training available for candidates with aligned potential)

• Active membership in good standing with the South Carolina State Bar

• Clear, timely, written,n and verbal communication abilities

• Team-oriented with a self-motivated approach to client service and business development

• Demonstrated commitment to community engagement and professional growth

• Strong interest in residential-focused real estate law

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the State of South Carolina

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal research and real estate document drafting

• High attention to detail and organizational efficiency

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment

• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
