Job Overview:

A prominent personal injury law firm in West Palm Beach, FL, is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to handle high-value cases in both state and federal courts. This role involves managing all aspects of litigation, including pre-trial preparation, court appearances, motions, depositions, mediations, negotiations, and trial. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in personal injury litigation, including first-chair jury trials, and the ability to handle a significant caseload while providing leadership and direction to staff.

Location:

• West Palm Beach, FL

Duties:

• Meet with clients and file lawsuits

• Propound and respond to written discovery

• Schedule and attend fact witness depositions

• Retain and attend expert depositions

• Schedule and attend hearings

• Prepare for and attend mediations

• Prepare cases for trial and try cases to verdict

• Prepare and file appropriate post-trial motions

• Attend file audits, litigation attorney meetings, and trial clinics

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in Florida (Required)

• Experience as a personal injury litigator (Required)

• Proven track record of winning personal injury cases, with a minimum of 2 jury trials as first chair (Required)

• Ability to manage a large and active caseload from filing through verdict (Required)

• Success in providing direction and guidance to a team of staff (Required)

• Impeccable verbal and written communication skills (Required)

• Strong negotiation skills (Required)

• Analytical and research skills (Required)

• Strong courtroom presence and eagerness to try cases (Required)

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school (Required)

Certifications:

• Active membership in the Florida Bar (Required)

Skills:

• Personal injury law and litigation experience

• Legal research and document preparation

• Trial preparation and courtroom experience

• Client communication and case management

• Negotiation and settlement skills
