Duties

• Partner with clients to develop personalized legal strategies.

• Draft pleadings, motions, and settlement documents.
• Lead court hearings, trials, and litigation strategies.
• Negotiate and mediate settlements.
• Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions and testimony.
• Collaborate with colleagues to advance cases efficiently.
• Mentor junior team members and paralegals.
• Maintain organized client files and clear communication.
• Contribute to refining firm processes and advancing family law practice.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Maryland (DC and VA licenses preferred).
• Member in good standing with the American Bar Association.
• 3-5 years of trial family law experience.
• Experience representing plaintiffs and defendants in diverse cases.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proven success in hearings, trials, and mediations.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.
• Interpersonal and leadership abilities, including mentoring experience.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.)
