A law firm seeks a motivated Associate Attorney with strong commercial litigation experience to join its Litigation practice group in Hackensack, NJ. This role offers an opportunity to engage in a sophisticated litigation practice and expand one's expertise in various legal areas.

Duties

• Apply litigation expertise to complex disputes, including business matters, employment disputes, and probate litigation.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs in both litigation and advisory contexts.
• Participate in client meetings, hearings, and court appearances as needed.
• Stay current on developments in applicable law while expanding knowledge through firm-provided training.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree required with excellent academic credentials.
• Admitted and in good standing in New Jersey.
• Minimum of 2 years of commercial litigation experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Strong professional judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to communicate professionally with internal and external clients.
• Proactiveness, resourcefulness, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively.

Education

• Juris Doctor degree
