A law firm in Minneapolis is seeking a dynamic and experienced Energy - Project Finance Attorney with a strong background in commercial/transactional work and a keen interest in the energy sector. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in federal income tax matters, energy tax credits, and government incentive programs. The role involves transactional experience in representing power producers and investors in tax equity and leasing structures within the wind, solar, and renewable fuels industries.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis pertaining to energy project finance matters.
• Draft and negotiate complex agreements, including tax equity and leasing structures.
• Provide legal advice on federal income tax issues and energy-related incentives.
• Collaborate with clients to understand and address their specific legal needs in the energy sector.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in commercial/transactional work with a focus on energy projects.
• Familiarity with federal income tax matters, energy tax credits, and government incentive programs.
• Should have 2+ years of experience.
• Transactional experience representing power producers and investors in tax equity and leasing structures for wind, solar, and renewable fuels industries.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-Accredited Law School.

Certifications:

Active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
