A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Los Angeles, CA, to join their team specializing in immigration, family law, and post-conviction relief. This full-time position offers a hybrid work schedule and provides training for newly licensed attorneys or those early in their careers.

Duties

• Represent clients in immigration court, USCIS interviews, and family/probate courts.
• Draft motions, briefs, and legal filings, including appellate and post-conviction submissions.
• Assist with criminal post-conviction relief and immigration-related criminal matters.
• Handle family law matters such as custody and guardianship cases tied to immigration relief.
• Prepare cases for hearings and court appearances.
• Maintain organized case files and communicate clearly with clients and staff.
• Collaborate with supervising attorneys on case strategy.

Requirements

• Active California State Bar license.
• 0-4 years of experience; newly barred attorneys encouraged to apply.
• Strong legal writing and analytical skills.
• Organized, dependable, and able to manage deadlines.
• Comfortable receiving feedback and asking questions.
• Spanish is a plus but not required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
