A law firm seeks an associate attorney with 3 to 10 years of experience for its Consumer Financial Litigation practice group in Plano, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in consumer financial litigation and be adept at handling complex legal matters efficiently.

Duties

• Prepare legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, and settlement agreements.
• Conduct legal research and attend hearings or other legal proceedings.
• Analyze legal conflicts and advise clients on solutions.
• Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure efficient case handling.
• Maintain organized client files for easy access by the legal team.

Requirements

• 3-10 years of experience in consumer financial litigation.
• Knowledge of FDCPA, CFPB's Amendments to Reg F, and related laws.
• Experience with debt collection practices in federal and Texas courts.
• Licensed in Texas; additional licenses are a plus.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Texas.
