A law firm seeks a General Liability Pre-Suit Attorney to join their office in Detroit, Michigan. The role involves managing pre-litigation work, guiding clients through the case process, and overseeing settlement negotiations. The attorney will focus on personal injury cases, primarily automotive, and manage a team of case managers.

Duties

• Handle all pre-litigation work daily
• Complete the Flip-to-Lit approval process
• Guide clients through the case process
• Draft and file pre-litigation documents
• Complete TD approval for liability issues
• Oversee settlement negotiations and demand package formation
• Manage the release approval process
• Supervise a team of 6-10 Case Managers
• Drive compliance and KPIs among the team
• Conduct EUOs, PIP Statements, and recorded statements

Requirements

• Law degree from a fully accredited law school
• Active member in good standing with the MI State Bar Association
• 1+ years of experience in general liability or personal injury
• Ability to manage a high volume of pre-litigation cases
• Excellent client service and communication skills
• Strong leadership skills
• Self-starter driven by long-term career goals
• Superior writing and oral advocacy skills

Education

• Law degree from an accredited institution
