Duties

• Advise clients on elder law matters including long-term care planning, Medicaid eligibility, and asset protection

• Prepare legal documents such as powers of attorney, advance directives, and guardianship petitions

• Assist with estate planning and probate matters relevant to elder clients

• Advocate for elderly clients in court or administrative proceedings as needed

• Maintain strong client relationships through ongoing communication and support

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in elder law or related legal practice areas

• Ability to manage cases independently while contributing to a collaborative firm culture

• Strong client service orientation, particularly in working with elderly individuals and their families

• High level of professionalism and ethical standards

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active member in good standing with the Wisconsin State Bar

Skills

• Strong drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills
