Conflicts & Business Intake Compliance Counsel
The candidate will be responsible for identifying and performing legal analysis of potential conflicts of interest arising out of new business intake and out of the hiring of lawyers and staff joining the Firm. Responsible for assisting lawyers and staff in resolving potential conflicts. Provides support for Office of General Counsel in implementation of risk management strategies relating to new business intake and hiring, as well as other legal matters involving the Firm. Should have JD with 3 minimum of 3 years of relevant experience practicing law and/or working on a conflicts team is required. Member of State Bar of Pennsylvania, California, Illinois, New York, Maryland or the District of Columbia in good standing. Adherence to highest ethical standards. Strong organizational and planning skills, including the ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete under time constraints. Strong interpersonal skills essential to permit effective communication in person, by email and telephone with a diverse group of lawyers and staff. The ability to explain complex concepts and negotiate resolutions of conflicts and ethics issues. Prior experience as a conflicts review lawyer or analyst, or experience in legal ethics, conflicts analysis and/or review, representation of law firms and the like highly preferred.
