A law firm in Johnson City is seeking a Tax Associate Attorney or Of Counsel to join its team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in building the existing practice, engaging in significant client contact, and ultimately moving into a leadership position within the firm. The firm prioritizes academically distinguished applicants with exceptional writing and analytical skills to take on responsibilities in its highly active practice. A Juris Doctorate or higher in Law is required for this position.

Duties:

• Participate in building the existing tax practice within the firm
• Engage in significant client contact, providing expert advice and guidance
• Conduct legal research and analysis related to tax matters
• Draft legal documents, including agreements, contracts, and estate planning documents
• Represent clients in tax-related negotiations and proceedings
• Collaborate with partners and other team members on complex tax matters
• Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate or higher in Law
• 5+ years of relevant experience in estate planning
• Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively

Education:

Juris Doctorate or higher in Law

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar (or eligibility for admission)
