Idaho National Laboratory’s (INL) Human Resource People Data and Analytics team is seeking forward-thinking professionals interested in exploring a career as a Workforce Data Analytics Specialist.

Our team works a hybrid 9x80 schedule located at our Idaho Falls facilities with every other Friday off!

Responsibilities Include:

Oversight of the usage of workforce/people data to inform lab strategy. Being able to translate that data and research into compelling business cases, white papers, strategies that inform major workforce decisions (at an executive level).

Research workforce trends and best practices and align, or design workforce data to drive HR&D and lab strategy.

Oversee lab’s utilization of HR&D workforce data in the development of strategy and performance assurance. Serve as a subject matter expert on HR&D workforce data, schema, models, and visualizations. Serve as a subject matter expert on data storytelling by integrating data and context into compelling presentations and reports.

Assist HR&D teams in the creation of data sets, data models, and visualizations which will help laboratory leaders make better decisions about workforce strategy.

Assist HR&D, the Laboratory Directors Office, and other INL Directorates in the creation of data-rich reports and presentations about INL’s workforce, i.e., culture/leadership, pulse surveys, etc.

Provide championship and change management leadership for INL’s dashboards using PowerBI or similar tools. Provide oversight and consultation of all data workstreams within HR&D to ensure other teams are collaborating as needed.

Mentor and develop data SMEs within other HR&D departments. Model standards for data privacy, data security, data governance, and in the responsible use of data to inform decision-making.

','!*!Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree and 12 years of related experience OR Master's degree and 8 years of related experience.

Degree should be in areas of Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Human Resources analytics, or similar subject areas.

Strong understanding of data visualization best practices and/or graphic design

Understanding statistical methods and models (sample size, confidence interval, regression, standard deviation)

Advanced technological skills in: Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, Tableau, or any comparable dashboard-building tool

Preferred Ability to:

Aggregate workforce data from multiple sources (ATS, HRIS, LMS, survey tools, etc.)

Understand the workforce data, schema, and models of a large enterprise.

Establish insights, tell stories, and influence decisions using data in multiple mediums (written reports, presentations, infographics, dashboards, etc.)

Use data to persuade executive-level decision-makers.

Follow and contribute to data governance or security policies, or participating in data working groups inside or outside a large enterprise.

Job Information

Salary Grade: PR0500 - 230 ($121,212 - $206,232)
