Aon is looking for a Counsel- EmploymentAs a Counsel you will report directly to the Chief Counsel. Your Impact as Counsel- EmploymentPrimary Responsibilities:Routinely advise to HR and business leaders on all aspects of the employee life cycle, including hiring, performance counseling, compensation, accommodations, leave, terminations, pay equity, and restrictive covenants.Advise on compliance with employment laws including: FLSA, ADA/ADAAA, ADEA, Title VII, EPA, FMLA, OWBPA and local leave laws.Assist with employment litigation including: non-compete and breach of contract claims, discrimination and retaliation claims, and wage and hour claims,Advise on matters related to employment agreements and compliance with restrictive covenants.Draft employment, separation, and compensation agreements.Conduct internal investigations.Assist with reductions in force and compliance with OWBPA.Handle OFCCP audits.Assist with affirmative action plans and EEO-1 reporting.Partner with HR regarding investigation of internal complaints.Assist in responding to pre-litigation demands and EEOC/agency charges.Provide employment law support on corporate transactions/deals.Review and revise employment policies.Skills and Knowledge Requirements:3-7 years of relevant employment law experience with law firm. In-house experience preferred, but not required.Positive, collaborative demeanor and willingness to roll up your sleeves to work on a wide range of routine to sophisticated projects.Employment and restrictive covenant litigation experience.Experience advising on employment laws and handling risk.Deep expertise and confirmed understanding of US employment laws.Excellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to work optimally with internal clients, including senior leadership, and work collaboratively across multiple functional groups.Ability to balance legal risks with business objectives and propose strategic solutions.Ability to lead numerous projects and deadlines, handle client expectations, and prioritize matters appropriately.OFCCP experience is a plus.JD and member of any state bar in good standing.
