Job Overview:
A prominent law firm based in Seattle, WA, is actively seeking a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in labor and employment matters. This hybrid opportunity is designed for an attorney who excels in advising employers on workplace regulations, resolving disputes, and navigating complex employment law frameworks. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of seven years of hands-on experience and a Washington State license to practice. This position offers a dynamic platform to serve an array of clients while enjoying a flexible working arrangement.
Duties:
Advise corporate clients on a broad spectrum of employment-related issues, including compliance with federal and state laws
Represent employers in workplace litigation, administrative hearings, and labor arbitrations
Provide strategic counsel regarding employee relations, workplace policies, and risk mitigation
Draft, review, and negotiate employment-related agreements and policies
Manage matters related to discrimination, harassment, wage and hour laws, and leave management
Defend clients in matters before regulatory bodies, such as the EEOC and state labor departments
Support clients in traditional labor matters, including collective bargaining and union negotiations
Collaborate with cross-functional legal teams on multi-jurisdictional employment strategies
Requirements:
Minimum of 7 years of dedicated labor and employment law practice
Admitted to practice and in good standing with the Washington State Bar
Demonstrated experience managing complex employment litigation and advisory matters
Strong knowledge of Washington State employment regulations
Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment
Comfort working in a hybrid office arrangement (remote and in-person as needed)
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Active license to practice law in Washington State (mandatory)
Skills:
Superior legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Effective oral advocacy and negotiation abilities
Strong client service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills
Technological proficiency with legal research tools and document management systems
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
