A top-tier law firm is seeking a Mid-Level IP Litigation Associate to join its Patent Litigation Group in Washington, D.C. This position is ideal for a litigation attorney with strong technical acumen and prior experience in patent litigation. The role involves handling complex disputes related to biology, chemistry, physical sciences, engineering, or related technical fields. Candidates must demonstrate outstanding academic credentials, exceptional communication skills, and a commitment to high-caliber litigation work.

Location:

• Washington, D.C.

Duties:

• Represent clients in patent litigation matters involving technical subject matter

• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and memoranda

• Manage discovery and participate in depositions and expert analysis

• Work closely with technical experts and clients in highly regulated, scientific industries

• Support all stages of litigation, including trial preparation and strategy development

• Contribute to case strategy and collaborate with partners and other associates

Requirements:

• Patent litigation experience in a law firm setting

• Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical litigation

• Prior experience with matters involving biology, chemistry, engineering, or related disciplines

• Exceptional legal writing, oral advocacy, and research skills

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

• Technical or scientific academic background preferred (e.g., biology, chemistry, engineering, physical sciences)

Certifications:

• Admitted to practice law and in good standing in the jurisdiction of employment (New York or Washington, D.C.)
